I love to read, although it is taking me a ridiculous amount of time to get through a book these days.  I read at night before I go to sleep, but I've usually already stayed up too late playing on the interwebs or catching up on the few shows that we keep up with.  And for the record, 11pm is too late for me.  I need my sleep.

Back to books- I just finished Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese and I loved it.  I could give you a synopsis, but you can read that on Amazon.  I am the daughter & sister of a doctor and I appreciated all of the talk about surgery and illness in the book, along with the relationships among the characters.  You might also feel elite when reading it because it was on Obama's summer reading list...smartypants!  I sort of feel like I'm 15 and writing a book review for English class now, so I'll stop.  I hope your Saturday night is more exciting than mine...although I am having a beer while watching football...PARTY!
